Kirkland Red Wine Recipes to Kick Back in 2019

Kirkland, WA — For the first time in its nearly three decades in business, Kirkland Brewing Co. is opening a new beer shop on the corner of Main and Main streets in downtown Kirkland.
The brewery, which has operated in Kirkland since 1971, plans to open the store next month.
Owner and brewmaster Mike Schlosser said he plans to have about 20 employees working at the new location.
“We’ll be able to provide our customers with the best beer selection in town,” Schlossers said.
“We’ve done some pretty great beers over the years, but we’ve always wanted to offer something new to the community.”
He said the beer selection will be made up of locally produced craft beers, but he won’t be including a lot of foreign imports.
“There’s a good mix of everything that we like,” Schlosseler said.
Schlosselers said he also hopes to offer a few local beers, including an IPA, a wheat beer and a seasonal brew.
Schlossers has owned and operated Kirkland’s oldest brewery for about two decades.
He said it was time for a change.
“I’ve been working on it for two years,” Schlands said.
“So I’m ready to get it moving and get it on the road.”
The new shop will be open for lunch, dinner and drinks until 1 p.m.
The store’s opening comes on the heels of the Kirkland City Council passing a resolution this week calling for Kirkland to open its doors to the public.
“It’s really nice to finally have the doors open to the city,” Schlesseler explained.
“It’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a while, and this is a great way to get our brewery off the ground.”
The store is open from 6 p.p.m.-11 p.l.
Monday through Saturday, while the weekend will be free.
